Efficient self-service systems
We have implemented My Workforce, a state-of-the-art electronic candidate management system, to speed up the process of finding and booking of the best candidates, the approval of electronic timesheets and the settlement of invoices.
You will be able to access My Workforce to submit your own vacancies and to check on the progress of each request – something that will make your job easier and greatly reduce the chance of unreliable or insufficiently trained staff.

Pre-placement checks
HCL BBL Medical adheres fully to the procedures set down in NHS PASA’s National Framework Agreement. The following are checked prior to placement:
- State registration
- Two satisfactory references
- Qualifications - copies are taken from the originals
- Two proofs of identity
- Proof of National Insurance Number
- Identification - all locums are provided ID badges to be worn at work
- Work Permits & Visas – copies of originals are kept on file
- Quality Assessment Forms - requested from clients after completion of every assignment.
- Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checking
- Professional Appraisals
- Numeracy and literacy testing.
Post-placement checks
Once the candidate has started work with you, our checks are on-going. We ask for assessment reports regularly, and offer problem-solving support to both the client and the candidate.
Response times
During office hours we commit to:
- 15 minute response. We will respond to every request within 15 minutes with an acknowledgement of the vacancy
- 24 hour match. We will report back to you within two hours with the results of a preliminary match
- 48 hour match. Should the initial match not be sufficient, we will continue searching and respond within 48 hours to let you know we have found.
